Building Your True Believer Tribe
Last week I looked at how True Believers lead with LOVE. Refer to blog: https://www.candicewalker.com/blog/blog-6

We have now identified when the non-believer appears in us and in others and what to do about it. A crucial factor that contributes to our success and fulfillment in the company we keep. Keeping company with True Believers will greatly influence your level of motivation and your ability to create your success masterpiece. It is now time to surround yourself with your tribe – Your True Believer tribe.

I always knew the value of a True Believer tribe when I was growing up but after being diagnosed with brain cancer it has become more pertinent. It is why I have always availed myself to support groups and my Wednesday meditation session. We are drawn together due to our tumor and our relative life expectancies and it is when facing mortality does mortality beckon.

One way to hinder achievement and life satisfaction is to spend time with the wrong people. By wrong people I don't mean bad people – just people who may be negative, controlling, and who may try to drag you into their drama. Whether you have cancer or not, the energy drained from these people becomes a debilitation that overwhelms. Spend time with the right people! Being with the right people can be such a cherished and unforgettable part of your life journey. These people can inspire you to great achievements, give you insight, and fill your life with excitement and energy.
We get to choose what time we spend with which people. How many times have you said yes to spending time with someone who doesn't make you feel great about who you are and where you are heading in your life? Some people can deplete us, drain us of precious time and positivity, and distract us from what we value. It doesn't mean we can never see these people (which could be hard when some are close) but we need to learn how to keep them at ‘arms length’.

So where are these right people? The answer may be in these wise words from Will Smith: “Don't chase people. Be yourself, do your own thing and work hard. The right people, the ones who really belong in your life, will come to you. And stay.”
If you choose to walk the path of a True Believer you will start to notice that other True Believers will be attracted to you and the non-believers will be less and less evident. When you start to walk forward with others who are creating their own success pictures, we form some strong bonds. You will have an unwavering commitment from those who believe in you and support you. This is your True Believer tribe!

The True Believer tribe has certain characteristics and express their purpose and passion in many ways. True Believer tribes have the following characteristics that makes them unique:

And like any tribe, those within it are at different stages of development. Some are well developed as True Believers, still learning and sharing their wisdom, while others are True Believers in the making – working hard to learn to grow. At my weekly meditation where a number of cancer patients congregate there are some who are some seeking hope whilst others are truly enlightened. However it is a true tribe united by belief and commitment.

In the words of Eckhart Tolle, “A group of people coming together in a state of presence generates a collective energy field of great intensity.”
Who do you want to be part of your True Believer tribe?

In next week’s blog, we will look at the elements of True Believers.
Love & Peace
